When Television City opened its gates in 1952, it was the first purpose-built television studio in the world. For over 70 years, it has been home to some of the industry’s most iconic shows and stars.
The TVC plan will secure the studio’s future and preserve its legacy as a site of outstanding content creation. The new plan embraces architect William Pereira’s original vision, which focused on flexibility and adaptability and called for the eventual development of dozens of stages and multi‐story office towers. The TVC 2050 plan builds upon Pereira’s futuristic vision, allowing the studio to accommodate evolving technologies and industry demands and foster growth of entertainment jobs in Los Angeles.
